Privacy notice

1. Data controller

The data controller is Hakan Evrensel (a private individual). For any question or request about this notice: info@hakanevrensel.com

2. Personal data processed

• If you use the contact form: your full name, email address, phone number (optional), the content of your message, the language of the page you sent it from, and your explicit consent.
• When you visit the site: your IP address, browser and device information, the page requested and the time of the request. This information arises in the hosting provider's server logs.
• To prevent abuse, the IP address that sends the form is kept in server memory only, for at most 10 minutes; it is not stored.

Please do not include special categories of personal data (such as health, religion or political opinions) in your message. If such data is sent, it is used only to answer your message.

3. Purposes and legal grounds

• Receiving and answering your message (including interview, event and collaboration requests): KVKK Art. 5(2)(f), legitimate interest, and Art. 5(2)(c) where your request relates to entering into a contract.
• Keeping the site secure and preventing spam and abuse: KVKK Art. 5(2)(f).
• Meeting legal obligations and protecting rights in a possible dispute: KVKK Art. 5(2)(ç) and Art. 5(2)(e).

Your personal data is not used for marketing, profiling or advertising, and it is not sold.

4. How data is collected

Data is collected electronically when you fill in the contact form, and automatically through server logs while you visit the site.

5. Transfers, including abroad

Your personal data is not shared with third parties in Turkey; it may be disclosed only to authorised public bodies on a lawful request.

The site and the contact form run on service providers abroad:

• Vercel Inc. (USA): hosting the site and its server logs.
• Resend (USA): delivering the form message as an email.
• The email provider the message is delivered to: storing and answering the message.

Turkey's Personal Data Protection Board has issued no adequacy decision for the USA. Your data may therefore not be protected abroad to the same level as in Turkey, may be accessible to that country's authorities under its laws, and your rights may be harder to exercise there.

The transfer abroad through the contact form is based on the explicit consent you give in the form after being informed of these risks (KVKK Art. 9(6)(a)). Without that consent the form cannot be sent.

Videos on the screenplay pages load from YouTube (Google LLC) only when you press the “watch” button. Before that, no request goes to YouTube. Once you press it, your IP address and device information are sent to YouTube and YouTube's own privacy policy applies. The policies of the sites behind external links (IMDb, Instagram and others) apply to those sites.

6. How long data is kept

• Contact form messages: at most 2 years after your request is closed; then deleted.
• Server logs: for the short retention periods set by the hosting and email providers.
• The IP address kept for spam protection: at most 10 minutes.

7. Your rights under KVKK Article 11

By applying to the data controller you can:

• learn whether your personal data is processed and, if so, request information about it;
• learn the purpose of the processing and whether the data is used for that purpose;
• know the third parties in Turkey or abroad to whom it is transferred;
• ask for incomplete or inaccurate data to be corrected;
• ask for it to be erased or destroyed under the conditions in KVKK Article 7;
• ask for corrections, erasures and destructions to be notified to the third parties the data was transferred to;
• object to a result against you that arises solely from automated analysis;
• claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

8. Requests and withdrawing consent

Send your request to info@hakanevrensel.com, stating who you are and what you ask for, preferably from the email address you used in the contact form. It will be answered free of charge within 30 days at the latest.

You can withdraw your explicit consent at any time by writing to the same address. Withdrawal takes effect for the future, and the data about your message is then deleted.

If your request is refused, you find the answer insufficient, or it is not answered in time, you can complain to Turkey's Personal Data Protection Board (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu).

9. Cookies and browser storage

The site uses no cookies and loads no analytics, advertising or social media trackers, so no cookie consent is asked for.

To remember your day/night theme, only the value “dark” or “light” is stored in your browser. It contains no personal data, is never sent to the server, and can be cleared in your browser settings.

10. Changes

This notice is updated when needed. The current version is always published on this page with its date.
